Description

CARS RUN THE RED LIGHT HERE ALL THE TIME! There are always tons of pedestrians here as people enter College Woods and the playground area: families with kids, runners and walkers, etc. I've never seen a traffic cop doing enforcement here. I've seen both cars and motorcyclists blow right through the red light on many occasions, some without even slowing down. Dear NHPD - please do a traffic sting here.

A ton of motorbikes sped down the street tonight at around 9pm (dusk), seemingly down from the rock. They were really speeding, and many driving on the wrong side of the road. This happens a lot and it's really dangerous for both pedestrians and other drivers who are not expecting it. The noise is pretty bad, too

They came from State Street up May to Cedar Hill Ave which is very quiet and unnecessary for them to be on then over to English Dr. (Windy road by Rice field)

I was at this intersection about 4:45 yesterday afternoon and watched three--yes, THREE--cars blow the light after it turned red heading east across Orange Street. I never see the NHPD doing any traffic enforcement here.

I echo Rob -- the red light running here is APPALLING. When my daughter and I get run over, there will be instructions for the surviving members of my family to sue the driver and the city for gross negligence, lack of respect for human life, etc. etc. etc.

The NHPD motor unit conducted a traffic enforcement operation in this area on Thurs July 10. This was in direct response to your requests for enforcement. The motor unit gave out 32 tickets and made 2 arrests. We will continue to monitor this location and will conduct further enforcement operations. Thank you for your patience.
