Morningside Park was completely trashed this morning. Those who left garbage could, in fairness, actually be charged for dumping given the amount of litter and trash they left behind.
Over the weekend, the park was not use-able given the anti-social behaviors of the barbecue crowd, perhaps the same crowd who destroyed the lawns, the plants, and the pond with their litter, left-over food, and discarded cardboard boxes.
Isn't drinking banned in the park ? Why are no tickets issued ?
Why is no one on hand as these people "check out," so to speak, to be sure that they remove their own messes ?
Why are no summons issued for littering ?
This needs to be addressed so that the park can be used by everyone in the neighborhood.

i agree 100%
i walk through the park occasionally, and on big BBQ days, it's a total mess. Incredibly, I saw a guy defecating along the walkway once, apparently with his friends or family looking out. On another occasion, someone was urinating in the bushes.
Can we get more cameras and security *inside the park* when these block parties are going on??
