You're so right "Walnut neighbor"...really gets old seeing 100's of "grass and weeds over 8" complaints. Give it a rest already, the constant shooting off of emails. Especially the ones sent in in April or May that state, "lawn hasn't been cut in months" !! Is the writer suggesting the lawn needed mowed in Feb. or March?! This type of exaggeration just wastes everyone's time, in particular, City of Lansing staffers. Tax dollars could be put to better use by not forcing Code Com to sift through copious amounts of frivolous complaints. Yes, much more neighborly to take a minute in person to ask these type of questions.
Cooler weather means lawns now grow slowly. Grass and weed complaints will dwindle down but next comes the cascade of "snow on sidewalk" complaints. As you said, "sheesh"
