The traffic light to make a left hand turn at this location takes an extremely long time, sometimes upwards of 4-5 minutes to change at late hours. It's usually quicker to go straight ahead through a green and drive a mile out of the way just to avoid it. This has been this way for the couple of years I have lived in this area.

If you're talking about the light on Route 5 I don't think the Town Council can do very much about it. Route 5 is a state road and I believe they would be the ones responsible to handle issues with the light.
Having said that I do have a follow up question for you. Are you talking about heading north and trying to make a left hand turn in the direction of Old (North) Colony Road or heading south and tryign to turn left to the Circle Drive area?
