These requests involve review of current plans and policies, compilation of accident and/or other history, coordinating with Alameda Police and other stakeholders, outreach to residents or others who may be affected by the proposed change, on-site data collection and analysis, and sometimes consultation with outside experts. We will follow up with you about your request when your request is at the top of the queue. Unfortunately, due to limited funding, there is a backlog of these requests and they are being handled in the order of receipt. Due to that backlog, some requests may take six months to a year to complete the analysis and recommendation. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

It's almost been a year. Any updates? The Alameda Marina site has over 550 parking spots on their site, but yet their construction workers continue to fill the residential parking spaces.

Per requester:

The 5 story apartment building will be complete soon and we’re worried the residents/visitors will take over Clement St with their parking. We’ve been here over 40 years and parking has never been an issue until this project started. We have large delivery trucks that deliver material for us and they are forced to block the street and cars just pass in the other lane right before a stop sign instead of going around the block and it’s becoming more dangerous with more traffic on Clement. I watch people fly past the stop sign all day. We noticed the new bike lane is mostly used for the Alameda Marina project construction unloading, however our delivery trucks never use the bike lane to unload like the Alameda Marina project does. The construction site has a designated parking lot for their construction workers, however they just park on the streets and take up residential parking for the day. Nobody in our area is happy with this construction project due to the increased traffic and debris left behind. That is why we are requesting time limit parking in front of our business.
