I don't think the residents who live near this intersection would appreciate a flashing light coming though their windows at night. Given a choice they may prefer a stop sign. Also, there is a small hedge under the magnolia that obstructs the view for oncoming traffic. If this were to be removed there may be no need to change the signage.

I've referred this to our Public Works Department. When the staff has had a chance to respond I’ll post an update. Thanks for reporting.

A stop sign would be preferred to a flashing yield.
