I posted a pic on cick/ fix. I took it on Saturday night, at high tide.

I've been here for 40 years, we get water up from the concord st drain and if it's raining at the time, our basements flood.
From what we were told, the tide gate was replace about 15 years ago, it sometimes gets debris stuck and it doesn't close, allowing water to pass by.
We are very low here and drainage is challenging , we just don't need the sea water making things worse

This flooding might be up too because Tweed has altered the land around the creek while "working on the fences. Also, Tweed should not be dumping their water into our drains...they over fill them with pumping out the creek to avoid water on their property. I am happy to provide pics of this...this is particularly true of the flooding that happens between Tweed and Townsend. Also the drain pipe near Krausers is installed backward, according to alderman. Please fix it NOW. We are paying incredible flood insurance. Has the City provided FEMA with the change to the flood gates etc? Has the City applied for flood mitigation funding like West Haven to fix this long standing issue? It is not ok for us to pay all the taxes while Tweed adds to our flooding problem.
