This really is a disgrace. A few days ago, we all received the email from Mayor Keller on the full opening of the City and there were several mentions there about the sanctioned venues for fireworks displays along with this reminder "Remember, City of Albuquerque Ordinance prohibits the sale and use of all Aerial Fireworks and Ground Audible Devices within the city limits. Click here to report illegal fireworks." Off and on throughout the day we were plagued with explosions. But once night fell it was incessant and it's still going off all around us here in Duranes. I'm not sure about the rest of the City but from what my friends say in other areas, it's just the same. This is NOT a celebration! This is
total mayhem. We all remember the year fireworks caused the destruction of our Bosque! We're in the middle of record heat waves and record droughts. Really?! Fireworks exploding everywhere on our streets, in our yards, the empty lot next to my house is encased in smoke! Please, ABQ DO SOMETHING!!!!

This letter is being sent to follow up on a complaint we received about illegal use of fireworks at the location you provided.
