Count yourself lucky. The Department of Sanitation's solution on Foster Ave was to totally remove all of the trashcans.
The result: People still dump their trash on the street where the can once stood/should be.

Please report this issue to 311 and post the Service Request Number here for follow up by Community Board 14. Thank you.

Foster Ave near where I live is MUCH cleaner now without the cans. I'm grateful for their removal.
