The Police are EMERGENCY vehicles and should be given latitude to park here if it is within a reasonable time. Fast response to emergencies is a key point to make if the police are needed to respond to a crime, seconds are crucial. Most NO STANDING signs do not jeopardize safety if you park there. In most cases it is ok. Rethink this when the Fire Trucks park right in front of Walmart, as they run in and purchase stuff. They are not there for a long period of time and if they parked in the extreme back of the lot where there is roominess it would take a few minutes to respond to a fire.

Clocks are still ticking away as far as response times in Police and Fire emergencies , Fire,emergency,ambulances not as bad.
Wait times are at an average of two hours , if at all (IF AT ALL ) Reports have / had been submitted to the Federal Government in regards to.
So what gives ? Hobbnobbing at coffee houses , laying in wait for administration and union stewards for entitlements.
Travelling to the homes, shopping , checking on real estate properties while on the payroll clock.

When I drove a taxi in New Haven it was VERY important, EXTREMELY important during down times to park at strategic locations that are gateways to give quick response times to customers!! It is possible to drive a taxi all day in New Haven and NOT break even $$ and actually owe the company money if you are not quick and efficient in pick-ups! Re-think this in terms of emergency reaction times with an open mind and use this analogy wisely without stubbornly not seeing the lesson which I hope you have learned by now.
