The La Salette traffic ic causing serious safety issues in my neighborhood and surrounding areas. The church and police are not effectively managing the traffic and both have a duty to ensure safety of the people. There is gridlock traffic on my residential street nightly. My street is supposed to be blocked off however, last night, I was unable to leave my home for 3 hours and if I left I would not have been able to get home. Many people are unable leave their homes, even in the event of an emergency. If someone needs help, EMS can’t reach people in time. Additionally, this is a routine issue that happens at the same time each night, the church and police need to do a better job preparing to manage the traffic ahead of time. The church should either move its Christmas light display to a place that doesn’t pose danger to the community, or they should sell/require tickets to limit the amount of people traveling to the area at a given time.

    Sign upside down
  • Leedham St & Pond St Attleboro, MA, 02703, USA - Attleboro
We need a sign for the speed limit. Recently there has been multiple 4x4 diesel pickup truck drivers driving throughout the neighborhood. They speed and rev their engines to the point windows shake.
All day every day these trucks make so much noise and disturb the whole neighborhood. We need a sign and also patrol cars using Sound Level Meters to measure decibels. A ticketing campaign if you will. Its getting so annoying. Many people now work from home.
Imagine a client meeting over the phone and in the background on your end it VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM BRUB BRUB BRUB. Its ridiculous.
  • 15 Lamb St Attleboro, MA, 02703, USA - Attleboro
Multiple accidents over the years at Ellis and lamb street. Yesterday 7/29 was one of the worst I’ve seen. Luckily no one was hurt. Stop sign was taken out, truck went into neighbors yard. Along with everyone using this road as a thruway. Speeding daily starting from south main to the curve at lamb at near public works. Also, the amount of tractor trailers using this road as a thruway to thatcher st is ridiculous. Last week I watched an 18 wheeler take off a limb on my neighbors tree while attempting to make a right turn on Ellis at to head to seabra. Some kind of traffic monitoring or 4 way stop needs to be implemented before people crossing lamb street get hurt do to the speeding and difficulty seeing coming out of Ellis street. My family has lived in this home for over 60 years and it’s only getting worse. Suggestions some neighbors discussed where 4 way stop and also putting in a blinking red light to make people aware. I know the speed reduces near the bridge but making lamb street 15 miles per hour. More kids are moving onto this road and I would hate to see someone get hurt due to speeding and not able to see pulling out of Ellis ST.
  • Edgecliff Ave Attleboro, Massachusetts, 02703 - Attleboro
This bend at the end of Edgecliff Ave is EXTREMELY dangerous. Cars are speeding at the curve and this is a high traffic area of people walking and kids on bikes. PLEASE install raised road bumps to get cars to slow down. My husband and I have had MULTIPLE encounters with cars flying down the street with no regards to my kids trying to get to the side of the street when riding their bikes. This is a huge public safety concern!
  • Tiffany St & Commerce Way Attleboro, Massachusetts, 02703 - Attleboro
This was the scene of an accident at the intersection of Tiffany and Commerce way yesterday at approximately 5 PM. After the vehicle was hit it launched onto the sidewalk feet away from the crosswalk. By sheer luck nobody was walking at that exact time, if someone had been walking at that exact time we would be taking about more than damaged vehicles. People walk their dogs their babies and jog on this stretch of sidewalk all day long. Something needs to be done about the speeding along Commerce Way. I realize the police can’t be a constant presence. Hockey season is upon us and the cars going to and from games and practices is picking up. The speed at which cars travel coming out of the parking lot is outrageous. Young drivers texting after a game and people from out of state racing to get to where they are going is a recipe for disaster. This morning at 5:30 a bus carrying players from the rink , a greyhound bus , came from the rink, there was no way that bus was stopping for someone in the crosswalk. On Commerce Way between County and the intersection of Tiffany there are two speed limit signs, one when you get onto Commerce Way and the other right before the crosswalk. 35 MPH is just too fast !!! This is a thickly settled area with high traffic and a very dangerous intersection. 25 mph seems more reasonable as we know people are going faster than the posted limit. There are I believe two solar powered speed limits signs that display cars speed , there are zero between the crosswalk and county. The crosswalk is in desperate need of the solar powered blinking signage that are popping up all around town. Maybe the hockey arena could help out and do a PSA on being considerate to the neighbors at their events. It has gotten to the point where I have told my dog walker not to walk on Commerce Way as she would have to stand at the crosswalk and it is just too dangerous. Please someone address this issue sooner than later . Also can the crosswalk at the mouth of the rink be painted, it’s not existent.
  • 78 Lincoln Ave Attleboro, MA, 02703, USA - Attleboro
I would like to begin the process of obtaining speed bumps on Lincoln Ave. I live at78 Lincoln Ave, Attleboro and unfortunately the street has become a major cut through to 95. The amount of cars, particularly from out of state, that speed through the neighborhood which is heavily populated with children is extreme. It is no longer safe to even ride bikes due to the speed at which cars travel. Any information on the process of getting speed bumps would be greatly appreciated.
  • 397 Mendon Road Attleboro, MA, 02703, USA - Attleboro
This is a neighborhood with very little space between homes. I dont know why but there are extremely rude people who like to burn leafs all day and burn their firepits.
This is not the neighborhood for that. From Spring-Fall there are people who will burn and its a shame. After 3 depressing months of no sun and freezing weather people just want to enjoy the sun and open the windows and now we have miserable neighbors who want to ruin the nice season. All I want to do is open the window and some idiots burning leafs is ruining the air. BBQing is fine it does not make a ton of smoke and the smell does not travel far but straight up burning leaves is super inconsiderate.
FURTHERMORE this is a neighborhood that has alot of Senior Citizens and it this is horrible for them to breath in. The city needs to ban leaf burning if you want to get rid of leafs you have to bag them up. Houses are too close together to burn leafs.

So are we going to have to go through this for once another summer/spring? The sun is out, the weathers nice after no sun for 2 months. Time to open the window, and its NON STOP motorcycles and annoying wanna be racers with loud exhaust(mostly from Cumberland/cf) annoying all the homeowners? Loud pickup trucks going back and fourth to the snitzer steal factory, Non stop landscaping and leaf burning?
This has become a overall depressing neighborhood to live in. Its full of people who moved to the suburbs for the first time and bring inner city habits.
We need signs against leaf burning, land scaping after a certain time, and warning racers they will be pulled over.
Its frustrating the city ignores south attleboro and we are forced to deal with this every time its nice out.
