People making illegal left turn onto Anawan Street
  • Durfee And Odd Street Intersection Fall River, Massachusetts - Fall River
This intersection is ridiculous as a pedestrian. There is a bus stop and no cross walk anywhere. We need a cross walk for several reasons including walking of dogs and the bus stops for children and teens not to mention adults. Also I would highly consider making Odd Street one way. Too many close calls as a driver and a pedestrian standing there waiting.

There is no One Way sign for Niagara Street Since some work on the sidewalks about a year ago. Do Not Enter signs were put up but you can't see them, or it seems that no one can see them. A lot of kids on this street and I see cars constantly SPEEDING the wrong direction.
  • Plymouth Ave And Rodman Street Fall River, Massachusetts - Fall River

    To Whom it May Concern,

The traffic light at Plymouth Ave and Rodman St for north-bound traffic on Plymouth is not programmed correctly. New sensors for this stop light were installed this year. The traffic pattern in the north-south directions is such that first, left-hand turns are allowed to go, and once the turning traffic has cleared, the opposite direction is given the green light. Then the light remains green until traffic has cleared. However, in the morning, traveling northbound on Plymouth to get to I-195, what happens is the following:
    1. There are a lot of cars travling southbound on Plymouth taking a left onto Rodman eastbound.
    2. Not many cars are typically traveling northbound on Plymouth taking a left onto Rodman westbound.
    3. Because of this, Plymouth southbound thru-traffic is given a green light.
    4. By the time the cars turning left on Rodman eastbound clear up, so has the through traffic.
    5. Plymouth northbound through traffic is given a green light, but for barely any time. It immediately turns yellow then red. At best 3 or 4 cars will get through.

This ends up resulting in traffic getting backed up on Plymouth northbound for no reason, and it can take 2-4 cycles through the lights to finally get through. I believe this to be the result of either
    A) faulty weight sensors in the northbound lanes or
    B) sub-par programming of the lights based on the sensor data. It could be the lights are triggered by both the sensors and timer value.

I commute to work via 24N. It used to be very simple with 79N open. Since the new construction, I’ve taken I-195E to 24N. Since the sensors have been put in, this intersection is even worse than it used to be when it was just on timers. Please fix this.

  • Columbia Street Fall River, Massachusetts - Fall River
There is too much traffic congestion at the corner of Columbia Street and Miliken Blvd b/c vehicles making a left turn from Columbia onto Milliken stop the flow of traffic.
    Suggestions:
1 - paint a left turn arrow and a straight arrow at that intersection so that vehicles continue to travel up Columbia Street when someone is taking a left turn
2 - add a left turn light and adjust the times accordingly
  • 1342 Bedford Street Fall River, MA 02723, USA - Fall River
This is an Accident Waiting to Happen! The Traffic Signals at the intersection of Bedford Street and Eastern Avenue have been on a very strange sequence pattern for years.
Bedford Street eastbound and westbound get the Green signal simultaneously, but Eastern Avenue does not.
Eastern Avenue Northbound gets the Green signal and then about 15-20 seconds later, Eastern Avenue Southbound finally gets the Green.
The problem here is that the Northbound side is already moving and traffic races to turn left down Bedford Street because they think they can beat the Southbound side before it gets the green. Once the Southbound side begins to move, the left lane has to wait because Northbound traffic turning left is blocking half of Eastern Avenue. I've seen so many near accidents because of this... In fact, I've been cut off and almost broadsided quite a few times myself and one of these days I can foresee a serious accident here.
The Green signals need to be in sync, or perhaps we do away with old iron pedestal signals and add modern, hanging signals with the addition of a left turn lane like the Locust Street and New Boston Road intersections.
  • Walnut St Fall river, Massachusetts - Fall River
On the corner of pear St and Walnut st, cars are parking too close to the corner on a daily basis. This is going to cause an accident, as people pulling out of pear St cannot see the oncoming traffic traveling on walnut

  • Almond St Fall River, MA - Fall River
It is ridiculous that this city is enforcing a fake ordinance to save the jobs of people you DON'T DO THEIR JOBS. To save the jobs of law enforcement who don't enforce a thing. People are speeding on our streets and blowing stop lights and signs. Dog owners not cleaning after their dogs. House's going up in flames, and during snow storms, those heroic fire fighters can't even shovel a path for their citizens, but we need to save their jons too. Implementing fees because you're not making your projection, then spending $1000's to put these little flyers on EVERY trash barrel weither there's a problem or not. My landlord and my neighbors blindly follow this FAKE ORDINANCE and you spend our money on this?
