Every night, Upper Providence Police sit on the shoulder with no lights on looking for speeders but at the same time creating a very dangerous situation. One of them is going to be hit someday.

  • On the sloped portions of West Baltimore Pk. the speed limits are ridiculously slow. Going downhill westbound towards Ridley Creek Rd. the speed limit is only 25 (it would be better at 30 or 35). Then at the bottom of the hill near Elwyn and the waterworks you are expected to increase your speed 20mph. faster to 45. Gradual speed increase would be more practical.
Eastbound from Granite Run Buick and passing Elwyn Institute, if you go 35mph like I do (which is the speed limit) other vehicles pass you and the the left lane ends going down the slope. Perhaps 40 or 45 mph. would be more practical here.

  • 300-398 Media Station Rd Media, PA 19063, USA - Upper Providence Township
The section of Media Station RD between the Media Station Apartments and the Media train station is very narrow and has no sidewalk. The drivers (mostly kids late for class at Penncrest) speed down the road where there is a blind turn. Hundreds of residents in the apartment complex use the road every day. Please, consider a speedbump, speed enforcement, or sidewalk over the drainage ditch on the side of the road. I have walked this stretch of road for 4 years and have had several close calls.
  • 359-399 Media Station Road Media, Pennsylvania - Upper Providence Township
There are people who live in apartments who walk to and from the train station up and down the hill that has no sidewalk... People also park in the Media Station Apartments parking lot who don't live there but use the train. This is very dangerous with the SUV's going 40+ up and down the hill (supposed to be 25 mph limit).. The limit should also be reduced to 15 or 20 mph.. There are blind and deaf people who take the train who walk this road to get to the train as well.. Something needs to be done before anyone gets killed by a speeding texting soccer mom.

54-98 Greenhill Rd Media, PA 19063, USA - Upper Providence Township
When 252 / providence road is backed up at old state road, drivers turn left onto sandy bank and then right onto greenhill. Speed down greenhill blow through the stop sign at ridge and continue to speed down to old state road. Lots of kids in the neighborhood and people walking dogs. Almost had my door ripped off while exiting the car. Need speed bumps and sign that says local traffic only.
  • 341-499 Farnum Rd Media, PA 19063, USA - Upper Providence Township
The issue is mostly drivers using Farnum rd as a cut through to get to Media.Especially now the new Walmart is open. The road is only 25 mph and drivers are easily going 40 to 45. As I pulled out of my drive a person actually had the balls to go around and pass me.
