Very Deep Potholes in the alley of the 1100 Block of Kansas on the West side of the street, behind Azura Credit Union.
  • 333 Sw Greenwood Ave Topeka, KS, 66606, USA - City of Topeka Council District 1
Owners did not get a permit before installing fence and it is not appropriate for a historic district. Owners have appealed the finding several times, but the Topeka City Council ultimately found it non-compliant over a month ago and options were presented. Nothing has been done. This has been going on for almost a year and no efforts have been made to comply. Please enforce the ruling.

    Hello,

In the alley in between the sides streets of Polk and Tyler & Blocks of 9th & 10th, there are two very large potholes that need filled because they have begun to break out causing a hazard. That alley way is used by many residents of the area to access their parking.

    Thank you!

Residents are running a coffee shop out of their home on a sporadic basis. They do not have a home occupation permit. They are selling goods and products. They began service at 7:30 am.

There is a light for this crossing in a 40 mph street. The first signs for the light is about 1/4 block from the crosswalk. SW Fairlawn is a very busy street. The school children used to go to school at McClure were from the west side of Fairlawn. The children who went to Crestview. The deal with this is that kids didn't cross the crazy busy SW Fairlawn Street. The sign (when you are driving south is covered by tree leaves - now the leaves are coming down - thank goodness) is so close to the crosswalk it is almost laughable (if you don't care about children). I know that many busy streets have speed limit changes. SW Fairlawn is 40 mph...CRAZY! I know some places that are busy have flashing lights. This place doesn't. Some places have flashing lights and stop lights. This intersection has a stop light. Not enough warning about the crosswalk. Kids are careful, but they are kids. Most of them aren't on their phones (like the drivers are) or eating a sandwich (they are walking home from school - excited about getting home to their pet). PLEASE look at this intersection. Please drive there both ways. Going south and then going north on SW Fairlawn. Ask yourself would you want your children walking across there at a busy time. Looked at the distances of the crosswalks from schools. Not a set distance either. Thank you for your time. I think our city commissioners and workers do an excellent job. I don't complain about most things. This scares the you-know-what out of me. I called 501 and they said no-one will listen to them. That seems crazy because they are our children's educators and protectors. Thank you again. I look forward to hearing from you. I have called your office before. My daughter in law has called. We just wan to protect our kids!!! All kids!!!!

House consistently has large gatherings for Young Life, a college organization. Sign on window on meeting nights says “Young Life College, Young Life tonight.” This evening 2/25, over 20 cars jammed the street, creating parking issues and issues with people getting access to their own driveways. This is the same organization that was holding Tuesday meetings at houses in College Hill before the city put an end to it.
  • Sw 15th St & Sw High Ave Topeka, Kansas, 66604 - City of Topeka Council District 6

Yet another accident occurred at the intersection of 15th and High Ave yesterday afternoon as children were walking home from school. This is at least the third, if not 4th accident at this intersection since July of 2022. A child is going to get seriously injured or worse if something isn’t done.

Traffic on 15th, headed east/west have no stop signs from Macvicar to Oakley. Cars continue to speed along this stretch of 15th. Additionally the intersection’s visibility is frequently diminished by the many cars parked along 15th and along High Ave.

Ideally we need a 4 way stop at this intersection to stop the speeding that occurs on 15th Street. I would like to request a thorough traffic study, including a speed study on 15th, occur asap. Someone is absolutely going to get seriously injured.

Abandoned 25 years ago. Getting extremely unpainted and rotten. Can be rebuilt if sold. Does not need the city to tear it down.

Hello, there is a very large pothole that needs to be filled at the entry/exit of the alleyway. I have previously reported the other two that are a little south of there in the alleyway so I wanted to make sure this one also gets added to the work order.

    Thank you

About a 6-foot piece of my concrete curb fell into the street about 10 years ago. Another section is slipping down. I have reported it many times over the years.
