    My wife and I were riding north on 7th Avenue, in the left lane in preparation for a left turn on 116th St. A police car came up behind us and announced through the loudspeaker, "Get in the bike lane. Ride in the bike lane, not the traffic lanes." I signaled a left turn and the officer seemed to get it. He may have also noticed the numerous vehicles (including a police car) parked in the bike lane. Clearly the NYPD still does not understand NYC traffic laws.

    This is the 2nd time this winter my building has been without heat for several days. According to the NYC.gov building inspector site, the boiler has consistently had defects since 2005. Despite malfunctions during the week, management was unavailable over the weekend and has yet to respond to my complaint as of Monday. This is a chronic problem. I have reported it to 311 several times over the past few years.

    Their are constantly homeless people and drug dealers under the un-lit scaffolding at the end of the 200 block on W 115th St. The building appears to be owned by the city, although no actual work is really getting done. It constantly smells of human waste and their is recent gang tagging of the building since the place goes un-patrolled and un-lit 24/7. What can we do to fix the problem?

    No heat for 6 days. I keep calling Hope Community to report it and they have done nothing. This happens every single year and they fix it in the Spring.

    A large crack on the SE corner of 117th and FDB is tripping people; two fell in the time it took us to eat dinner and one woman smashed her face on the side walk when she fell. We’ve also seen others fall here because of the same crack by the manhole on the corner.
