KING 1998

Everyday in front of Roy C. Kecham High School, there is a huge line of cars and buses going to the school. It is like driving in new York City! People ALWAYS block Blackthorn Loop. Including myself, I see my neighbors trying to get onto County Road 93, but people always block the road. there are signs next to the road saying "DO NOT BLOCK ROADS" Especially when the cars see people waiting to turn, they speed to up to block the road so you can't get in. In order to avoid traffic for the school, people continuing on 93, have to drive on the shoulder of the road. I have seen a couple close calls with cars driving in the shoulder coming close to pedestrians. County Road 93 is badly set up!

Everyday, I see many people biking and walking on County Road 93. People walk to and from Route 9. There are no sidewalks on 93. There is only one crosswalk on 93, in front of Roy C. Ketcham High School. I see kids walking home from school everyday. Cars drive in the shoulder, which is illegal, coming close to the kids. Other cars swirve violently into the other lane to avoid the kids, which is also dangerous. The kids nedd somewhere safe to walk home.
