    85 Woodland Avenue Kearny, New Jersey - Kearny
    Trash at the corner drain. The sign on the drain reads "No Dumping-Drains to river" but the mess that the Town of Kearny DPW does not clean up is disgraceful and filthy. This is at the corner of Woodland Avenue & Chestnut Street.

    The corner drains are never cleaned. If you read closely it says "No dumping drains to river". Kearny DPW needs to be more on their game. This is on Woodland Ave. & Chestnut Street. FILTHY!

    This car has been parked on the southeast corner of Woodland Ave. off Chestnut Street for the past 3-4 weeks and needs to be removed. It has parking tickets and violation stickers. It's an eyesore.
  • Woodland Avenue & Devon Street Kearny, New Jersey - Hudson County
    There is a speeding issue that occurs all along Devon Street from Johnston Avenue, past Woodland Avenue (where I live). Hardly anyone obeys the stop sign on Woodland Ave. (east or west bound) which causes a bigger problem for the speeding (sometimes over 40mph) cars traveling along Devon Street. I propose that the intersection of Woodland Ave, & Devon Str. be made into a 4 way stop and speed bumps be installed on all sides of the intersection. In the past 32 years I've seen my fair share of accidents on this corner including some serious ones where people needed to be extricated from their cars with the jaws of life. As a matter of fact my mother started a petition over 50 years ago to have a traffic light installed on this corner but it was turned down since the west side of Devon Street is considered Kearny and the east side is Harrison. At the very least install cameras to prove my point. Something needs to be done before someone is killed.

    91 Woodland Avenue Kearny, New Jersey - Kearny
    I already placed a complaint about 99 Woodland, now making a complaint about 89 & 91 Woodland. It's the same issue with overgrown weeds in the backyard. At 91 Woodland there is a shed in the backyard that is completely neglected - who knows that animals are calling it home and the weeds in the shed area are so overgrown it looks like the Amazon. There's also junk sitting up against the house-a propane tank is rusted and been there for years. At 89 Woodland there is junk in the backyard that hasn't been touched for years. Due to the negligance of these backyards we now have a mouse in our house. I would like to have these backyards attended to immediately. Thanks!!!!

    The backyard landscaping is non-existant. Weeds that have grown into overgrown trees are encrouching onto our garage. I have to cut them back every summer, at least 3 times. Even the West Hudson Park side of her property is neglected by the park, not maintained and needs to be 100% cut back. The backyard is completely neglected since the owner lives off premise and the house is up for sale. There are other yards on the opposite side of my house that have the same issue...89-91 Woodland Avenue (I will make a separate complaint), especially 91 Woodland Avenue - she has a shed in the backyard that has been neglected and overgrown weeds, it looks like the Amazon jungle. I take very good care of my property inside and out (professionally landscaped) and due to the negligance of these backyards I now have a mouse in my house. Saw one run across my kitchen counter last night during dinner preparations. I need to have these yards attended to immediately. Thanks!!!!
