    Dear Click Fix:
This Sunday afternoon Washington Park suffered the abuses of the Recreation department’s over booking and the Windsor police department’s disregard to park safety.
At about 1:30 I noticed three cars parked behind the pavilion. There were about 60 people unloading cars arranging to spend the day in the park. A forth car appeared later.
I called the police station’s main number and spoke to,” Chris”, to report the cars in the park.
I wondered how they entered the park because steps to tighten the park’s entrance had recently been completed. The flower pots were repositioned to prevent car access in front of the warming shed.
So I walked in the park to see the chained gate with the lock had been removed.
I called the police back and after being bounced around I spoke to a Sargent Koboski, who said he had opened the gate because today’s crowd was a large number of people and had been double booked by the recreation department.
I’m not sure what double booking had to do with drive in access to the park. St Koboski assured me he was handing it so, therefore it was ok.
This all sounds like a failure of the police department and the park department to know what the rules are, to follow the rules, complete due diligence in park utilization relative to crowd size and park assignments.
Three years ago these problems were regularly visited upon the park, why again?
