Risdale avenue

As usual, the dead end street has not been plowed, or salt laid out.

Last night the wind uprooted a Risdale Park tree growing along a fence in Risdale park. The tree fell on a house next to the park.

It is one of a few dead or dying trees that were trimmed. Others along the fence were cut down to the height of the fence this summer. Can you have them come back and take care of this tree that they trimmed? The couple in the house are disabled and low income so they are pretty stressed out about the situation. This photo is from the back of the home, taken facing Risdale park.

In the past year we have noticed that whenever there is gun fire in the Stonecrest Townhouse complex, on the Risdale park side, we don't see officers coming afterwards. Usually it occurs at 3am or sometime during the night, waking up the residents. Today, it was broad daylight, involving a white extended cab truck, a teenager in a grey shirt, light multicolor grey/white long pants, being followed by said truck, and 8-9 shots being fired in a 20 minute period.

It's not the sidewalk but what fell next to the sidewalk... power cord wires came loose. It's very close to the sidewalk, and kids are walking by it all the time to get to the park

A bunch of cable wire was bunched together after the ice storm over a year ago, and attached to the telephone pole between the two houses (2701 & 2707 Risdale). Looks like it fell off the pole, and now it's sitting next to the sidewalk. Might be old landline telephone wire and some other cable. I don't have the tools to cut it but can someone from the city just cut it and throw it in a recycling bin?

Last month it was flower pots through the window. This month it's plants being stomped on, heads of sunflowers being cut off, pansies being pulled out of planters, and then the same punks are littering the same front yards with candy wrappers, potatoe chip bags, not to mention from the apartment complex they are still firing off fireworks starting after midnight. The usual broken glass bottles in the street. Can you get these kids something to do like a neighborhood center to go to? The boys & girls club are overwhelmed and the older kids bully the younger so supervision is poor.

Two of us on this block have called the city plow people, and nothing has been done about it. Since then, cars get stuck, and today, a HUGE FedEx truck had trouble getting out, being forced to back up, slipping, driving backwards out of the street. Impossible for most vehicles to turn around. Why didn't the first and only plow on Tuesday only take care of the top layer of snow? Six hours after the "plowing", we had to push vehicles back toward Ingham that tried to get to our house on Risdale. We have to walk to the corner and meet people to go anywhere. NO CAR can safely get in front of our house. We shoveled our walk, our driveway, but a standard car cannot make it to our house. Ingham was plowed properly, so why didn't the city plow driver do our block properly that same night? Why the half assed job on Risdale? There may be only three or four houses occupied, but WE DO COUNT.

The use of a "privately owned" tree as a BWL power pole without permission of the owner. Owner wants line rerouted OFF OF the tree that it's attached to.

The power line is being pulled down, partially wrapping onto one secure trunk, but being pulled down by another broken branch. I had warned BWL that the branches near the line needed to be cut this summer! Now on Dec. 22nd, the ice on the branches brought the power line down, without breaking the power line. I have power but....
