Pedestrian Signal - Broken/Damaged La Kaydiiyey5400-5410 College Ave Oakland, CA, 94618, USA - RockridgeThe beeping sound to indicate it's safe to cross is stuck on; it has been continuously beeping for 15-20 minutes.
It started (perhaps coincidentally) right when City maintenance workers were power-washing the trash can next to it. -
Streets - Potholes/Depression La qiray1070 61st St Oakland CA 94608, United States - Paradise ParkThere seems to be something like a sinkhole here The orange sign has been over it for weeks Maybe the City put it there? But it has blown over more than once, & now the sandbag is broken now It may need more urgent attention

Traffic Safety (non-emergency) La qiray451-459 Hudson St Oakland, CA, 94618, USA - Shafter
The new "roundabout" at the intersection of Hudson & Shafter, combined with a two-way *rather than a 4-way* stop has resulted in a reduction in visibility.
My daily bicycle commute means I ride on Hudson and cross Shafter twice a day, and have been doing this for more than a decade.
In the past month, I have come closer to an accident at this intersection more times than in the previous decade in *any* intersection!
Two possible solutions (there could be other ones):
1. Make a longer No Parking zone on all sides of the intersection. Cars parked near the corner block views of oncoming cars and pedestrians.
2. Make it a 4-way stop. Cars driving on Shafter can't see pedestrians or bicycles who are already in the intersection until almost too late. Cars must slow down, but they are not alerted to this by a sign.
Observe the intersection and see for yourself if it seems safe, or if it might be (like I think it is) an accident waiting to happen.
