    The shield on this light needs to be removed. With the shield, the light only shines directly into the street, leaving the sidewalk dangerously dark. Although without the shield, the light will shine into our house, for safety, this is better than the dangerous situation of completely dark sidewalks. These new lights do not serve the purpose for which they are intended.

    New LED lights are ineffective. Without a shield, they shine a direct beam into houses. With a shield, they only shine a bright beam directly under them into the street, no illumination on sidewalk.

    The new LED street light is much too bright and needs to be shielded from direct view of the houses. The bright light is shining directly at our house. The manufacturer makes "house shields" and "light trespass shields". The light is also adjustable. The brightness needs to be adjusted and/or the shields need to be added. That is why they make them to fit onto these LED lights. Leaving them off creates light pollution and glare issues for the residents.
