Recreation & Parks - Parks Maintenance Arquivada1501-1599 Clement Ave Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaFoxtails are taking over the flower beds not just on the raised flower bed, but also on the ground. Lots of people walk their dogs here, and that includes the FAAS volunteer dog walkers. It's bad enough walking through Alameda's neighborhoods with so many over grown yards and curbs full of foxtails. Foxtails are extremely dangerous to dogs and cats --- we shouldn't have to fear walking them in the park, too.

Parking Enforcement Arquivada1401-1471 Pacific Ave Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaThis car was reported twice, had sticker put on it twice, and had someone remove the stickers twice. Followed up with the police department. Is it stolen? Abandoned? It has been in the same spot since November. It now has flat tires. If it has been stolen, the owner would most like want to have it back. If it's abandoned, it should be towed away. Why is it taking so long for the Police department to take action?

Traffic Calming Suggestion Arquivada1566-1576 Clement Avenue Alameda, California - AlamedaSince this part of Clement was opened up for traffic from Wind River to Grand, a lot of vehicles have used this road to bypass Buena Vista. However, they are driving faster. There is no stop sign on Clement, just on the intersecting streets. But it's Clement that must be slowed down. There is a children's park there. And lots of people walk, jog by that park. Even though a bicycle path was built, a lot of people still ride on the sidewalks. Please review this more carefully. This is a residential area with a lot of children and their parents/grandparents who cross Clement to go to the park. Slow down those vehicles that tend to take this short cut. Put speed bumps ot put up stop signs at Clement at each intersection. Thanks.

Illegal Dumping of Garbage ArquivadaEncinal Terminals Alameda, California - AlamedaThe garbage spoils this area for people walking, running along the Encinal Terminals. This is just behind the Del Monte Cannery.
-
Garbage/Recycling Service ArquivadaSakas Alameda, California - AlamedaThe bins at the park alongside Fortman and Grand Marinas are overflowing and need to be emptied. Whose responsibility is that?
-
Street Signs Arquivada1 El Capitan Alameda, California - AlamedaStreet sign on corner of Paru and El Capitan has broken off and is now on the curb.
-
Sidewalks ArquivadaWind River Alameda, California - AlamedaWalking behind the Del Monte Cannery and along Wind River Systems by the water...there is so much trash (food containers, broken bottles, glass shards, etc) lining the walk area. In spite of having trash bins, some jerks still dump their food wrappers and throw bottles that break, making it hazardous for people and pets to walk there.
-
Sidewalks at Littlejohn Park ArquivadaLittlejohn Park Alameda, California - AlamedaPerhaps the local parks maintenance crew should walk the paths in and around Littlejohn Park. So many uneven surfaces and cracks that pose trip hazards. For a park this busy among families ---walking, running, playing, picknicking, the cracks can result in serious injury. These cracks and wavy surface is on the path near the basketball court.

Illegal Dumping of Garbage Arquivada1418 Pacific Ave Alameda, California - AlamedaRatty sofa left on the curb with a free sign. No one wants it.
-
Storm Drainage Flooding Arquivada1901 Eagle Alameda, California - AlamedaThere are no storm drains nearby, so water continues to pool in front of this house. The sump pump from this house and the next door neighbor's pump water out to the curb, but there's no place for the water to go.

Illegal Dumping of Garbage Arquivada1608 Morton Alameda, California - Alameda
On the corner of Morton and Lincoln, there is a pile of trash by the sidewalk and a mattress propped up by the utility pole.
What is it with mattresses that people just dump them on the street?
-
Illegal Dumping of Garbage Arquivada1041 Lincoln Alameda, California - AlamedaWhat is it with people who just leave their old mattresses on the street?
-
Trees (Street Trees) ArquivadaJay Street Alameda, California - AlamedaThis is not a street tree but rather behind someone's fence. But half the tree is dead, and te daed part hangs over the sidewalk and the street. If it breaks or is uprooted, someone can get hurt, or it can cause serious damage. It already has turned the shed/garage lopsided, probably from the roots.
-
Illegal Dumping of Garbage Arquivada400 Wind River Way Alameda, California - AlamedaBehind Del Monte, on the path heading to Wind River, there is so much trash/garbage. In some areas, black plastic bags have piled up. And along the path by the parking lot, lots of trash, paper cups, food boxes, etc. are everywhere. Who's responsible for cleaning this up. So upsetting to see a lot of garbage on a walk that is supposed to be pretty because it's by the waterfront.

Storm Drainage Flooding Arquivada1580 Pacific Ave Alameda, California - AlamedaI realize our problems are nothing like San Jose's, but they seem to be everywhere. On the 1500 block of Pacific Ave, both sids of the street, water is pooling (and getting stagnant) everywhere. There doesn't seem to be enough storm drains, and the grading of the streets makes the water pool (and stay) at the curbs.

Sidewalks - broken, creates trip hazards Arquivada1100 Buena Vista Alameda, California - AlamedaSo many places on sidewalks the south side of the 1100 block of Buena Vista that are broken and are uneven, creating serious trip hazards.
-
Storm Drainage Flooding Arquivada1901 Eagle Ave Alameda, California - AlamedaThere is no storm drainage on this, or near this corner where the water can be diverted. Two houses using their sump pumps find that the water merely pools on the curb because the water flow is blocked and there's no storm drains nearby where the water can flow. As a result, there is flooding on this particular spot. Mud is accumulating, and it's a good place for mosquitoes to breed since the water just sits there.
-
Sidewalks - broken, creates trip hazards Arquivada1574 Pacific Alameda California - AlamedaThis can, if it hasn't already, cause a trip hazard to pedestrians. It isn't fun tripping and one can only hope one doesn't break anything.
-
Sidewalks - trip hazard Arquivada1725 Eagle Alameda California - Alameda
There are a lot of broken sidewalks in Alameda, some caused by overgrown tree roots. The others, well....
This one is most definitely a trip hazardHaving tripped on uneven sidewalk, I know this can be hazardous to people, especially elderly folks.
-
Broken and uneven sidewalk Arquivada1024 Santa Clara Alameda, California - AlamedaThis is a major trip hazard.....not only are parts of the sidewalk broken, there are holes and raised parts of the sidewalk.
