Illegally parked cars Acknowledged5700 Grove Avenue Richmond, Virginia - Richmond Precinct 3Vehicles are parking in the entrance to the old parking lot currently under construction on the corner of Grove & Granite. This is making it difficult to see cars coming down Grove from the west while make a turn off Granite heading southbound. Would it be possible to install some temporary no parking signs in this location during construction? Or have some increased police/towing enforcement.

Non-functioning Street Lights Acknowledged5901-5999 River Road Richmond, Virginia - Country Club Of VirginiaThere are two street lights along River Rd between Bridgeway and Kanawha that are not working. They appear to be new but they've been installed for months now and still aren't powered up.
-
Stop Bars not painted Archived3433 Floyd Avenue Richmond, Virginia - The Museum DistrictThe stops bars on Floyd Ave were never repainted at the Thompson St, Nansemond St, and Boulevard signals in the Museum District after Floyd was repaved. The double yellow line has also not been repainted.

Steel Plate in Roadway Archived4816 Grove Avenue Richmond, Virginia - Colonial PlaceThere has been a steel plate in the right lane of Grove Ave at the intersection of Shadwell Rd for months now. How much longer is this plate going to be here? There doesn't seem to be any work going on here to justify the plate. There are no warning signs for it and it's obnoxious to keep hitting when you're stuck in the right lane.

Non-functioning Traffic Lights Archived22 South Boulevard Richmond, Virginia - CarytownThe light-up "No Left Turn" sign on Boulevard southbound at Cary Street is no longer working when the others on Boulevard are lit up.
-
Other Archived3500-3598 Highway 147 Richmond, Virginia - CarytownThe city recently installed a sign on the signal for Ellwood Ave at Thompson St to indicate that people wishing to remain on Route 147 need to use the right-most left turn lane. However, the sign installed is misleading. It simply has an arrow pointing straight down. Given that it's mounted between the left turn and through-right lane, this gives the illusion that one should go straight into the Ellwood Thompson's parking lot to stay on 147. Wouldn't it make more sense to have text that said "Use This Lane' or something, rather than a straight arrow pointing to a parking lot?

Non-functioning Street Lights Archived200-224 North Boulevard Richmond, Virginia - The Museum DistrictStreet light on the southbound side of the Boulevard in front of the VMFA flickers on and off at night. I believe there are multiple ones here between Stuart and Grove that are either completely off or turning on/off at night

Pavement Markings Archived3126-3128 Floyd Avenue Richmond, Virginia - The Museum DistrictWhen are the pavement markings ever going to be restriped on Floyd Ave west of the Boulevard? The road was repaved last fall and they still have not put any lines back down at all.
-
Flooding at Pedestrian Ramp Archived201-299 Highway 161 Richmond, Virginia - The FanThe city recently replaced the curb ramp at the SE corner of Boulevard & Hanover. The ramp and associated curb and gutter was not graded properly and, as a result, water constantly collects at the base of the ramp with nowhere to go. There are two storm drains on both sides of the ramp but the water simply can't get there.
-
Pedestrian Crossing Sign Archived3711 Monument Avenue Richmond, Virginia - Sauer's GardensThe city recently installed a "Yield Here to Pedestrians" sign at the ramp to I-195 south from Monument Ave eastbound. The sign has an arrow that points to where the crosswalk should be, however the arrow points to the left when the crosswalk is on the right. In other words, the sign is backwards.

Non-functioning Street Lights Archived301-399 Highway 161 Richmond, Virginia - The FanStreet light on the northbound side of Boulevard just north of Hanover continuously cuts on and off at night.
-
Porta-John in Median Archived117-199 North Boulevard Richmond, Virginia - The FanThere is a porta-john that has been left in the median of the Boulevard just south of Grove that makes trying to turn left from the Boulevard southbound onto Grove extremely difficult. You cannot see around it. I'm not sure why this is still here as paving operations have been done over 2 weeks now. Can you please see to it this is removed soon?

Handicap Ramp Inaccesible Acknowledged2-10 North Nansemond Street Richmond, Virginia - CarytownWhen Nansemond St was repaved a few months ago, the paving crew failed to repave a piece of asphalt on the NW (Carytown Place) corner of the intersection. This has resulted in the handicap ramp being rendered useless as there is now a significant drop off from the ramp to the street. This needs to be fixed quickly as it is an accessibility issue, and one where someone in a wheelchair could get stranded in the crosswalk because of it.
-
Pavement Markings Archived600-678 Highway 161 Richmond, Virginia - The Museum DistrictWhy is it taking so long to repaint the lines on the Boulevard? The stretch between Broad St and I-95 is going on almost a month now since it was repaved and not a single line has been put back down. This road is getting dangerous to navigate with the lack of lines, especially at Monument Ave with the lane shift around the statue. Time and again I'm riding in the left lane and when I reach the statue, someone in the right lane next to me doesn't give me the space I need to get around the statue. This needs to be fixed immediately, either with something temporary, or get the contractor to repaint the lines ASAP. It is a huge safety issue.
-
Trash/Bulk Pick-ups Archived301-399 North Boulevard Richmond, Virginia - The FanAs part of the sidewalk reconstruction project going on along the Boulevard, the contractor has been leaving behind piles of branches between the sidewalk and the road. This creates a hazard when trying to park along the road and exit your vehicle. Some of these piles have been around in excess of a month now. Can the city please clean these eyesores up?
-
Non-functioning Traffic Lights Archived2907-2999 Highway 147 Richmond, Virginia - CarytownIn recent months, the pedestrian signals for crossing Cary St on Sheppard St have gone from automatically activating with the Sheppard St green cycle to push-button activated. However, if you're on the SE corner trying to cross Cary St to the north, the push button to activate the crosswalk signal is missing, making it impossible to obtain a pedestrian movement.

Pavement markings ArchivedChippenham Parkway Richmond, Virginia - Stony PointThe pavement markings on the northbound Chippenham Pkwy bridge over Stony Point Pkwy have completely worn off and are not visible at all. I believe the southbound side is in a similar condition but not entirely sure, but northbound for sure needs to have the pavement markings restriped.
