Bliss Rd is narrow, heavily traveled by vehicular traffic,
and particularly by pedestrians of all ages including people with strollers.

No person shall allow any planting of any kind on his or her property to encroach upon a public sidewalk so as to obstruct such sidewalk, unless specifically authorized to do so by council. Council may, at its discretion, permit the placement of planters or other obstructions where it finds that the proposed obstruction will not endanger the public health, safety or welfare and, further, where it makes an affirmative finding that the proposed obstruction will enhance the neighborhood. Authorization for sidewalk obstructions shall be granted subject to written agreement by the property owners to maintain the obstruction in good repair and to indemnify the city against any claims arising therefrom. The property owner shall maintain in full force and effect a general liability policy in the amount of three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000.00) for the benefit of the city. Breach of any of the above conditions shall result in revocation of authorization to maintain the obstruction. Upon revocation, the property owner shall immediately remove the obstruction and restore the sidewalk to a condition acceptable to the city. If the property owner fails to remove the obstruction within fifteen (15) days of notice of revocation, the city may remove the obstruction and file the cost therefor as a lien against the property owner's realty.

I am writing to urgently bring to your attention a significant issue affecting our community, namely the overgrown hedges along 12 Dudley Ave. These hedges have extended well beyond the property line and are now encroaching upon the street, posing a serious safety hazard to residents and motorists.

The unchecked growth of these hedges obstructs visibility for drivers, particularly at intersections, increasing the likelihood of accidents. Additionally, pedestrians are forced to navigate around them, often spilling onto the road, which is exceptionally dangerous, especially during peak traffic times.

Given the essential role of local authorities in ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, I implore you to take immediate action to address this matter. It is imperative that the hedges be trimmed and maintained to prevent further encroachment onto public space.

The water in both of our toilets is brown. After several flushes, it continues to be brownish. Our sink water doesn’t appear to have the same issue. Only the toilets.

House on 107 Washington is pumping a lot of liquid into Battery St along driveway, which is running into storm drain on Washington. Liquid has strange, sewer-like odor, and is slippery & filmy to the touch.
