Traffic Signal / Pedestrian Signal Archived570-576 Chapel St New Haven CT 06511 - Wooster SquareVisible in the image, the pedestrian crossing sign was run over and flung to the side on the crossing across Chapel St infront of Wooster Square Park. As a three year resident, I have seen this particular crossing be a hazard for pedestrians: from cars aggressively honking at pedestrians crossing, to cars flying down well above the speed limit and nearly hitting pedestrians, to multiple car pile-ups when one driver stopped and the others were speeding along too fast to notice. I've messaged my local representative with the hopes of getting crossing lights and/or active speed-meadire devices on this street with no avail. Maybe change will come in preparation for the fancy apartment complex at the current Version location?
