This is exactly why this area needs to be cleaned up completely and the homeless that sleep on the sidewalk need to find another location! They had just put this fire out this morning that was started by the homeless. It's to close to people's homes. It's on the public sidewalk. PLEASE CLEAN THIS AREA. This is so DANGEROUS and ILLEGAL!!! People have to walk on top of trash and fire debris otherwise walk in the middle of the street just to get through! It's just terrible.

City of Oakland PLEASE HELP!!!! This is an ongoing problem that needs to be resolved and cleaned. The picture that I posted it is of me and my baby on our way home around the corner having to struggle getting through piles of garbage all over the sidewalk. It's nothing but trash couches chairs abandoned vehicles homeless encampments and tents all on the sidewalk between 35th and 36th street and MLK Jr. Way. This has been going on for months now and this city has yet to do anything about it! It's nothing but people sleeping on the sidewalk defecating on the sidewalk illegal activity on the sidewalk and people like me stuck trying to walk through it all. It's disgusting and unfair for the neighborhood and residents. There's rows of stolen trash cans, stolen shopping carts, etc. why is this even allowed. Where is enforcement??
