Cross walk signal not working at intersection in front of gas station, Stop and Shop and corner of Angelo's. On Sunday evening I tried several points to use cross walk and stood by three sets of changing lights and the pedestrian walk sign did not appear indicating stopped traffic in all directions and safe to cross. Last evening (Wednesday) while waiting at gas station I witnessed a child (girl had to have been no older than 8) run across Rte. 28 in front of S&S gas station against the lights. Oncoming car slammed on brakes. Child should not have been crossing a main street by herself but there were no pedestrian walk signals available. I can attest because I had same experience 3 days earlier.
