  • 3156 Old Milton Parkway Alpharetta, Georgia - Alpharetta
Can the city please install lighting along the Old Milton Rd Bridge? The bridge is pitch dark and difficult to see at night. This makes walking along this bridge dangerous to pedestrians and motorists. Lighting would also help motorists to see who are getting on to 400 and enhance the visual appeal to the Avalon area.
  • Turner Mcdonald Parkway & U.S. 19 & Mansell Road Alpharetta, Georgia - Alpharetta
Can the city please install lighting along the exit ramp off Exit 8? It is extremely dark and difficult to see as you are exiting off.
  • 5455-5539 Mcginnis Ferry Road Johns Creek, Georgia - Johns Creek
I noticed that the city of Johns Creek has installed a sign on the bridge that crosses Caney Creek, but the sign says "Crossing over Johns Creek". The creek that runs underneath that bridge is NOT Johns Creek, it's Caney Creek. Please remove this sign as it's an inaccurate creek marker. Johns Creek runs underneath the bridge on McGinnis Ferry Rd @ Sargent Rd. Please remove the sign from its current location to the accurate/proper location which is near McGinnis Ferry @ Sargent Rd.
  • 6455 East Johns Crossing Johns Creek, Georgia - Johns Creek

2 street lights are out at this corner and well as several along Hospital Pwky. It is extremely difficult to see at night.

Also are there any plans to add lighting along McGinnis Ferry Rd? It's a very dark stretch of road particular starting at around Douglas Rd and ending at the Gwinnett County line. There are no lights at all along this corridor. Landscape lighting would also help along this corridor and improve the overall aesthetic.

State Bridge Way needs lighting as well. That area is pitch black at night.

  • Jones Bridge Road Johns Creek, Georgia - Johns Creek
The Emory Hospital- Johns Creek sign has been down since construction of the right merge lane. The sign is currently laying down in the brush/weeds. Will the city please reinstall this sign.
  • 11904 Jones Bridge Road Johns Creek, Georgia - Johns Creek

Can the city please trim back both of the bushes/scrubs on both sides of the entrance-exit to Seven Winds "Shopping center". It is very hard to see traffic coming southbound on Jones Bridge Rd while trying to exit the shopping center.

On another topic: When will the Seven Winds "shopping center" be demolished and redeveloped into something worthy of our city? This eyesore is located at one of the gateways into our city and it looks like complete trash. The city approved townhomes off Douglas Rd @ Jones Bridge (beside Kroger) without any regard to the current mess that is the deadly intersection of Douglas @ Jones Bridge. Fix the infrastructure first before adding more homes to an already weird and deadly street configuration. That entire area and intersection needs to be COMPLETELY reconfigured. Rite Aid needs to go and Sargent Rd and Douglas Rd should intersect together at Jones Bridge. Kroger needs to bring a more upscale concept store for that location, everything else should be demolished. Build out from Kroger with more new modern, consumer friendly, aesthetically pleasingly facades buildings, restaurants and shops, landscaped streets, sidewalks, lighting. No color signage for a more uniform and pleasing look. I hope the city has serious and near plans to address this area of the city. Sometimes driving through I can not tell I live in one of, if not the wealthiest city in Georgia. That "shopping center" and overall corridor does not represent the quality of life I expect in a city such as Johns Creek.

  • 6300 Hospital Parkway Johns Creek, Georgia - Johns Creek
What is being constructed in the medians at both entrances to Hospital Parkway?
  • 11875 Jones Bridge Rd Alpharetta, Georgia - Johns Creek
The traffic signals at the intersection of Douglas Rd and Jones Bridge Rd are completely out.

Jones Bridge Rd Johns Creek, Georgia - Johns Creek
The new right turn lane off Jones Bridge Rd is confusing to motorists. The sign says Keep Moving, but cars are stopping right before they reach the acceleration lane. Can the city explain how this new lane is to be used most effectively and safely. Are cars to stake in the acceleration lane until the broken white line appears? I believe the hesitation by motorist to NOT Keep Moving is due to the fact the the lanes on McGinnis Ferry Rd are narrow. When cars are turning left off Brookwood Rd onto McGinnis Ferry they typically have to extend over into the new acceleration lane causing cars entering into the acceleration lane to stop or pause before entering. The city needs to add a concrete curb/lip down the acceleration lane up until the broken white line. Please do not use those hideous plastic poles as a barrier they only become destroyed and are not as effective as the concrete curb. By adding a concrete curb/lip motorists turning left onto McGinnis from Brookwood do not cross over into the acceleration lane and motorists using the acceleration lane feel comfortable to Keep Moving.
  • 4587-4599 Kimball Bridge Rd Johns Creek, Georgia - Alpharetta
Does the city have plans to widen Kimball Bridge Rd from 2 lanes to 4 lanes starting at Kimball Bridge Rd @ State Bridge Rd and ending at Kimball Bridge Rd @ Jones Bridge Rd. Abbotts Bridge Rd also needs to be widened from 2 lanes to 4 lanes starting at Abbotts Bridge Rd @ Jones Bridge Rd and ending at the city/county line with Duluth/Gwinnett County. Traffic in the area of Kimball Bridge Rd @ Webb Bridge Way/Milton Oaks Dr is especially congested during the morning and afternoon rush. I hope the city has plans to address these areas.
  • Johns Creek GA - Johns Creek

Driving through the city of Johns Creek you will notice that the majority of traffic signals in the city are hung from wires. I personally think the wires are unsightly and dated. Traffic lights/signs should be attached to more updated and visually appealing metal arm poles. The city of Sandy Springs has updated most of its traffic wires with nice metal poles and even some of the actual street name signs are illuminated at night, which adds a very nice look. As the city of Johns Creek does road improvements it should make installing new metal arm poles part of the process. It's the ascetic things that make a city beautiful and replacing the dated wiring with metal poles would make a huge difference. If the city adopts this approach I believe the major intersections and thoroughfares should be replaced first, then move to the smaller secondary roads with a goal to have the majority of our traffic lights/signs without the wires. The illuminated street signs should also be installed especially at the major intersections and thoroughfares throughout the city. Let's make Johns Creek a more beautiful place to call home.

I have attached a picture of a traffic pole in the city of Sandy Springs to show what types of traffic poles I'm referencing. There are several different options that the city of Johns Creek could choose from. All of which would be better than the unsightly wires that we currently have.

    - The "Welcome to the city of Johns Creek" sign is blocked from view by overgrown trees/limbs.
    - Also the sign does NOT contain a "Purple Heart" city sign or a "Fulton County" sign. This is a very important sign that marks the entrance to not only the city of Johns Creek, but also the county of Fulton. Forsyth County has county marker signs at their borders with the city and county. The Fulton County sign is also missing from the "Welcome to the city of Johns Creek" sign located at the intersection of Peachtree Parkway/141/Medlock Bridge Rd & McGinnis Ferry Rd. Please add county signs to the existing "Welcome to the city of Johns Creek signs located at the county/city borders. It's very confusing to existing residents, potential residents and visitors that you are crossing county lines with no sign indicating that.

I have attached a picture of what the two signs should look like.
