Should consider blinking yellow arrow for left turn off M-97 onto Kelly. M-97 green is extraordinarily long and during many hours of the day there is little traffic. One has to sit there (burning gas) when there are no cars coming. However, I must say that other than the above, this intersection is very innovative.

I agree to get this light fixed. Me and my family sat at northbound Kelly for quite awhile before the light changed for us to proceed. M 97 traffic north and south and the left turn lanes cycled numerous times before lwetting Kelly Rd go

Going northbound on Kelly, I was coming up to the red light when I noticed that the light for the Groesbeck traffic turned red however my light never changed. THen the turn left light on Groesbeck turned green and then the light for the rest turned green while I stayed at Kelly for 4 minutes before it finally changed. You need to go back to the normal timing of lights.

One thing you need to know about this intersection-- if you are not stopped at the line (either past it or somewhat behind it) the Kelly light will not change until someone stops in the right spot. M-97 will stop traffic in one direction to allow a left turn if someone is stopped at the line in the left turn lane and no one is stopped at the right spot on Kelly. On Kelly there is a sign that says "stop here" -- it really means it, or the light won't change. While there is no sign for M-97, you must stop at the line to get the left turn signal.

I drive that highway everyday delivering pizzas. A blinking left turn on any of those lights on Groesbeck is just plain dangerous given the high speeds some motorists drive. Besides, Kelly runs at an angle to Groesbeck making a left on a blinkii8ng yellow hazardous in itself as one must stretch more to see one way or the other. Innovative? how so? This intersection is no different than any other.

First, the left turn is from M-97 on to Kelly therefore, no stretching of the neck. Second, there is no left turn from Kelly on to M-97--again no stretching of the neck. Innovative in the sense that the light doesn't change unless a vehicle is in a position to take advantage of a green light either on Kelly or waiting in the left turn lane on M-97. To my knowledge, there is no other light like that on M-97.
Please notice that the complainant is more interested in the MANY non-busy hours of the day than the heavy traffic hours.
As far as hazardous, well, I have seen a few bad accidents when people with the green get hit by (or hit) some one who decided it was okay to keep on going cause they could beat the yellow light. All roads are hazardous if one drives foolishly.
Personally, I believe that driving is a team sport--and we are all on the same team.
