Opis
Westmoreland between Grove Ave and Patterson Ave has become a mini highway. Cars and trucks travel at very high rates of speed down Westmoreland, driving much faster than the posted speed limit. This is a neighborhood full of children and only blocks from Mary Mumford Elementary, where kids are often walking to school each day. We need either speed bumps, as they did on Bremo Rd. or an extra stop sign to slow down traffic before a child is killed.

This situation has been formally reported to Richmond Traffic Engineering Mgmt Team (20020933129) so that proper inspection and handling can take place accordingly for possible traffic calming measures along Westmoreland. Mgmt team noted that a speed study was conducted and indicated the need for a traffic circle on Commonwealth Ave near Mary Mundford School. The project is scheduled for next year. Please continue to monitor this request using CRS#20020933129 for further information and concerns.
