Description

After a two plus week parking ban, the snow along Elm street (that has double paid parking on either side) has been causing traffic issues and affecting surrounding businesses. If two cars rightfully park along side the metered spaces the New Haven Bus Line cannot pass through. About 7 times we have seen buses get stuck- the police are called to direct traffic- horns are steadily honking- and it results in the bus driver leaving the bus and other business owners arriving at our location- yelling out to see if the car belongs to one of our customers. Many morning commuter customers have complained and remarked that it is not easy for them to access us because of the snow. It has also affected the church services. The parking spaces provided are a risk for most cars unless you have a SUV- glaciers of ice.
