This issue acknowledged and reported to Phila. Streets Dept. by Philly 311. Ticket #638322. (spt).

I just received a reminder about this issue asking me if this issue has been resolved...
It has not, as of 11/25/2009.
There is still a traffic cone over the electrical/wiring where the street light was.

Still no street light

I called 311 yesterday and gave the ticket number and the issue on their roster is "still pending"

No- there is still no light on the corner and there is still just a traffic cone on top of the wires. This is sad!

We are still waiting for this light to be replace. What is taking so long ?

THIS ISSUE HAS STILL NOT BEEN FIXED
Now ice and darkness is making for very hazardous conditions.

It has 4 months.
There is still no light on the corner and the two lights east of this are now also out.

Why hasn't this been replaced ? The bare wires are covered with a traffic cone !

I JUST CALLED 311 AGAIN... THE REASON GOVEN FOR 5 MONTHS AND STILL NO LIGHT IS THIS: IT'S PECO'S RESPONSIBILITY TO PUT IN THE POLE AND WIRE IT AND THEN THE STREETS DEPT. HANGS THE LIGHT...
THIS IS A NEW EXCUSE AS IT WAS ALWAYS THE STREETS DEPT. WHO REPLACED THE POLE.
PECO IS SUPPOSEDLY MONTHS BACKED UP- SO IN OTHER WORDS... "YOU AIN'T GETTIN' NO LIGHT NO TIME SOON!"

Ticket #638322 already submitted to Streets Dept.

I AM RE-OPENING THIS because, not only is there no street light on the corner. The two street lights directly east of this missing pole on Vine are now out as well.

Please keep in mind streets department and 311, that this ticket was submitted 6 months ago. 6 months with no light on a corner with previous accidents. 6 months where crime has been on the rise.

Do not close this issue until the light has been replaced.

It might be wise to erect some sort of barriers or concrete planters at that corner too so this pole doesn't get knocked down again.

This issue will be brought up at the next PSA meeting on May 27th if it has not been resolved by then.

It was closed but still not fixed ? It's been over 8 months !

Yes 8 months since it was knocked down, over 6 months since 311 has been aware of it. We called the streets dept. first, to no avail. That's when I and a few other neighbors joined seeclickfix.

311 is misusing the website.
Whether or not someone says the work is pending or the status has been received... doesn't mean a thing to the residents of this area walking around in the dark.
This issue should be considered closed when 1 or 2 things has happened: 1) the light pole is replaced and there is light on the corner or 2) the city removes the wires and warning cone from the sidewalk.

This matter will be closed when the light is replaced and not until then.

Finally fixed after a year.

FIXED and correctly added an obstruction to hopefully prevent us from loosing this light again. Sgt Rick and SeeClickFix helped very much. Thank you.
