Thank you Andi for reaching out to the City. The Health Dept has been notified. We have created a work order number to address this issue 283596. Thank you again and have a great day.
Many thanks! If I may ask, is there follow up to make sure the walk has been cleared? This walk has not been clear most of the winter. Do we need to report the offending properties every day until the walk is cleared?
Andi, the resident was ticketed on 2/26/14. You can call 617-666-3311 or write in using the app to report properties that are not shoveled do to the city ordinances. I do apologize for the delayed response. I hope you have a Great day
Many thanks, but I would like to pose a question. Is there any follow up once the ticket has been issued? The walk at 602 remained unshoveled and unmaintained until the rain and warm weather finally melted the polar ice cap. A single $25 ticket is not incentive to shovel. For instance, over the summer, we were issued a ticket for an over grown bush. The inspector came back EVERY day and issued another ticket of increasing value EVERY day until we called to tell him we were contesting the ticket and please stop. This was for an overgrown bush posing no health or safety threat. These icy walk are incredible safety issues -one either slips and injures oneself or one ends up in a very busy street- follow up should be at least as zealous as the follow up for tall foliage.
