Description
This van parks every day and never gets ticketed. If you are downtown you can get a ticket for being two minutes over on the meter. How about some fairness in this city? I pay my car tax and my resident sticker, but it doesn't help me when there is no place to park because of these cheaters.

We were happy to see that an officer was ticketing. Still, enforcement needs to be carried out on a regular basis. If it were done even once a week, on different days and at different times, we would eliminate the problem.
There is another parking ban going into effect on Sunday, and there will not be enough room for permit holders to park on one side of the street. How about ticketing cars with no permits right BEFORE the storm on Sunday, as they move to take up spaces on the even side of the street?
The important thing is that enforcement begin to be done on a consistent basis. That would make an important improvement to our neighborhood.

Thanks, Jimmy. We have two officers in vehicles dedicated to focusing on the city's 15 residential parking zones and neighborhood concerns and we are usually made aware of issues via complaints called into our office or via methods such as SeeClickFix. We will continue dedicating our presence to residential parking zone 7 on a timetable comparable to the one you've outlined, but please continue to alert us as the problem persists. Our office can be reached Monday through Friday from 1pm-9pm at (203)946-8076 and I can be alerted via my cell from 5pm to 9pm, currently Tuesday through Saturday, at (203)410-0077. When posting on SeeClickFix photos are always helpful regarding specific concerns, as well as a detailed location and issue that is occurring. We also really appreciate constructive and cooperative posts, we're here to help you and ask that you help us in doing so. Thanks for your suggestions, we value opening such dialogues with the residents of New Haven.
