I am farmilliar with the area and normally people do not drive up there, except those who live there, and communications workers to get to the towers on top of the mountain. Has this become an issue, with people going up there for some reason ? I know the view is great.
I am part of a train group ( rail fan group ) and we have been up there a few times trying to find someone to let us place a computer and radio to monitor the rail frequencies, a host site, since it is such a great location and the signals are clear as a bell up there.
So far, no one we have spoken with who lives on Skycrest wants to help. I guess there are no rail fans that live up there.
We talked with some of the communication companies up there as well, and they were more than happy to lease us space, but they would not do it for free.
We are a very small group of volunteers, so we can not afford to buy tower space.
If you know anyone up there that wants to help us, please let me know.
I just know that over the years there have been many complaints about people coming down the mountain too fast and if the road was properly marked as a dead end these problems should go away.
That is a steep hill. One of the steepest in the whole capital region. I know I have come down it riding the brake the whole way to keep it at 20.
Just the pull of gravity would make a go cart do 60 on that hill. I agree that a sign like Private Road down at Vista would help.
I see there is a house up there, just to the right of the lower gate that has a tower with Ham radio antennas, short wave, but I can not find a listing for that location in the Ham Radio licences.

That road should not be seeing much traffic past Vista.
There are only a couple houses up there and beyond that is gated and monitored by 24 video security and sensors both at the lower and upper gates.
More detail on the nature of the problem would be helpful.
Thanks

I believe the landowner's name is Vincent Jodice.
