Welcome to the club resident. It will be interesting to see what the city does with the millions of dollars in surplus they will have from this venture. Hopefully it will be spent on items to benifit the residents. Dear HC...is there a place on the city website that shows what the monies gained from the wells will be utilized for?

With all DUE respect, the city's comment is pretty lame. They know darn well that more than likely an apartment office staff is not going to take the time or spend the money to make flyers to notify residents about a gas well being built. But their excuse (pathetic at best) is basically that they gave notice to the apartment management. How about going just a tiny small step further and notify the apartment management and providing the flyer to put on the residents doors and then ensuring the information gets distributed? The folks in those apartment complexes are still residents of HALTOM CITY. Don't cop-out with the ordinance only requires the city to notify property OWNERS. IF they took the effort they exude of making excuses and playing the finger pointing blame the other guy game, there would not be a need for this website or any complaint forms!

Ahh the benefits of absentee owners, they get a form and look at it and say well, I dont live there so what and it gets tossed or they send a form letter indicating its okay with them and wah-lah, its approved unanomously. Dont make them come out with a tape measure!!! lol. Cause they will and it will be a foot short!

Let s see you pay your rent then the property owner takes that money and pays his TAXES to Haltom City. The property owner is a big corporation out of town and cannot vote. But their name is on the property. You live here, shop here send your kids to school here but DON'T vote.

Haltom City DOeS NOT see you as an equal citizen. Why because you DON't vote simple as that !!
