Would you be able to tell me what times of the day you are seeing the delay at this intersection?

This morning at about 8:55 I saw that delay, for instance. I've seen it multiple times throughout the day. The sensors that were just installed seem to not be functional?

(the sensors comment was more of a side note)

Also this morning around 8:45am traffic was stopped at the light for all 4 turn directions for about 60 seconds or more with almost zero cross traffic going N/S.

Thank you for contacting the City of Huntsville - Traffic Engineering. Staff found that the detection that was replaced during the repaving project was malfunctioning and resolved the issue. Drivers should see the intersection cycle faster as a result.

Regarding the ability to allow south-to-east drivers to turn permissively. Traffic Engineering would not be in favor of this due to potential visibility of the opposing dual left turns for north-to-west. Thank you again for contacting the City of Huntsville - Traffic Engineering.
