I'm not sure where to request this, but I'd like to request a "curb ramp" for my driveway to stop my car from scraping coming on and off the road. since it's a drainage channel I'd like to check if the city puts those ones on with the drainage channel like I see all over the place, and if so, request one to be installed at my address. thank you

  • 2443 Crestwood Dr Sw Huntsville, AL, 35805, USA - Huntsville
The traffic signal at Crestwood and Bob Wallace is once again not detecting traffic properly headed northbound on Crestwood Dr, and we're forced to wait for a cycle before it will change even with no traffic on bob wallace. Even while staying behind the white line.

Not a pothole per-se, but between the constant water run-off from the dealership and their parking huge semis full of cars to be delivered at this dealership, the roadway has buckled and sunken creating a very nasty bump in the road at this location. It's not obviously visible so when you hit it at even 20mph it feels like you just lost a wheel.

Please consider making the left turn arrow from Jordan Ln Southbound to Bob Wallace a flashing yellow instead of only turn on green. It's possible to wait at that light so long traffic backs up beyond the emergency signal for the fire station even with no traffic heading northbound. A flashing yellow turn at this location would help alleviate the issue.

this has to stop. bob wallace appliance constantly blocking travel lanes on Bob Wallace Ave to load and unload when they have two parking lots they could be using, the lot on the side of the building having a dock as well. there is often a truck blocking the travel lane AND a truck blocking the turn lane, causing eastbound traffic to have to merge into one lane, and blinding traffic to exiting vehicles from east of the trucks.

this has been an ongoing issue and causes near accidents every time it's like this.

please have them use their parking lots and side dock for loading and unloading AND NOT OUR BUSY STREETS

Traffic signal at intersection of Bob Wallace and Crestwood Dr Malfunctioning again.

This signal has been reported many times for the same issues that keep recurring. Cars coming from the Crestwood Dr side of the intersection are not being detected, so they have to wait at the light for it to eventually cycle after some lengthy amount of time (I spent over 3 minutes at it this morning, with zero traffic on bob wallace).

Can we get a permanent fix for this issue please? It keeps happening, someone will come fix it, and then it'll start happening again.

    Thanks.

Bulk collection failed to pick up my bulk yard waste (tree limbs/shrubbery mainly) that were piled at the side of the road. They drove by and bulk collected neighbors garbage but never even attempted to picked up my pile. I attempted to contact sanitation mulitiple times during office hours, but all options on the menu were met with "the person at this extension is not answering" and dumped me back to the menu. I also emailed the sanitation manager and have not heard back. Please have them pick it up.

  • 2810-2848 Newby Rd Sw Huntsville, AL, 35805, USA - Huntsville
The traffic signal at Newby Rd and Bob Wallace is not detecting people on the south side of Newby Rd waiting at the light. It will not detect/change until someone pulls up to the detector on the north side of Newby. Please check the detector(s) on Newby at Bob Wallace. I've personally waited at this light for upwards of 3-4 minutes with minimal to no traffic on Bob Wallace.

Street light across at this location won't come on at night, or if it does, it's a very faint, not even enough to light the street. This makes a very dark spot in our neighborhood. Please fix!

Garbage pickup was late yesterday and apparently in their rush to get things done, they destroyed my garbage can. I have left it by the curb. Please repair or replace.
  • Triana Boulevard Southwest Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville

Can we have Triana between Bob Wallace Ave and Drake Ave (at the least) re-evaluated for minimum width requirements?

I drive a mid-size vehicle and I BARELY fit between the lane lines. Large vehicles such as school buses, dump trucks, garbage trucks, etc., commonly use this roadway and DO NOT fit in the lanes as marked. In reality, this road is too narrow for 4 traffic lanes and a turn lane. It's a very common occurrence that someone will be in the turn lane (not completely because they don't fit!) and at least one, possibly two cars will have to slam on their breaks or cut into the other travel lane to avoid hitting them.

My suggestion would be to either make this a two lane road with a bike lane on each side and a turn lane, or remove the turn lane, add a bike lane and widen the existing travel lanes. It should be possible to perform either adjustment described above without any direct impact upon traffic flow for this roadway.

I would argue that the lanes of this road is NOT the minimum width of 9 feet as described in the COH Engineering Standards document figure 5-1 (attached), and it causes undue hazard due to vehicles often not fitting within the designated lane markers.

Please consider this issue and re-evaluate the road purpose and markings to better the safety of this roadway.

    Thank you for your time.

  • Intersection Of Bob Wallace And Triana Blvd Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville
The new style telephone pole on the west side of the bob wallace/triana intersection (next to the car wash in the median) is leaning severely to the east, and has even pushed the ground up at it's base. This thing will likely fall into traffic if the hooks for the guy wires fail or water/rain loosens the soil enough. It's quite scary looking and should probably be addressed before it becomes a major hazard.
  • Crestwood & Bob Wallace At Morris School Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville

The traffic signal at the Intersection of Bob Wallace and Crestwood (at Morris School) doesn't trigger often when there is a car waiting on the Crestwood side of the road. Sometimes it takes multiple cars or a car to pull up to the intersection from Morris School to trip the light to change.

Also as a suggestion - can we have the light perform a single directional cycle for each side between Morris and Crestwood so that both sides aren't green at the same time during school hours? This causes issues when there is a green on crestwood side, and on morris side, as the morris side often won't allow left turns out of crestwood. I'm simply proposing a 20s green for one side, then the other, before greenlighting Bob Wallace traffic again.

    Thanks
