Description
Several months ago the left turn arrow from Whitney onto Mather mysteriously vanished from the signal. Now the oncoming traffic gets a red while the Mather bound traffic get a green. I've never been at a light where only one side of the intersection gets a green...without an arrow it makes you 'guess' if the oncoming traffic is stopped or not. I worry that there will be an accident because there is no obvious right of way. Why was the light taken down?

Now that Treadwell is two-way again, they cannot have a turn arrow here. It would be confusing - the arrow would suggest a left turn on Treadwell has the right of way, when in fact oncoming traffic from Mather merging onto Whitney has right of way.

Yes, I agree that it is very confusing. One can never guess if it is time to make a left turn or not. Only by seeing that the oncoming traffic stops completely. However, it almost led me to an accident this afternoon as the oncoming traffic began while I was in the middle of the turn not knowing that it turned green for them. This needs to be fixed ASAP. If the arrow cannot be placed back then simply synchronize traffic in both directions to have a green signal for the SAME time duration. It is an accident waiting to happen...

I've had several near accidents here - I live on Treadwell Street and its impossible to know whether, when turning left from Whitney going north, oncoming traffic from Mather has the green or whether oncoming traffic on Whitney has the green. This must be fixed or a serious accident is going to happen.

This is a dangerous intersection. I've seen one bad accident that missed hitting a pedestrian only by moments.
