I live on Wallop School Road in Enfield. There is constant speeding on this street. It does not matter what time of day or night it is. Drivers will speed up and down this street constantly. It is quite un nerving as there are kids playing outside most of the time. There aren't any sidewalks either for people to walk or kids to ride their bikes. This street is mostly used as a "cut through" to get to another street. There are times when one could hear a car screeching due to drivers turning into their driveways and the approaching cars travelling too fast to slow down. This is a road that needs serious attention by city officals to curb speeding.

I'm not sure from your description that this is something that the city could easily fix overnight. It sounds like some combination of reengineering, traffic calming and enforcement is needed.
To raise the profile of this issue, you may want to consider forwarding it to your neighbors using the "Send to Friend" button above. Your neighbors can "vote" to have it resolved.
Are there any neighborhood associations / blockwatches or major employers in this area that would have an interest in seeing this issue resolved? If so, please post any ideas here and someone will share that info with them.
You may also want to share this with the Central Connecticut Bicycle Alliance. An email address is posted on their website. If enough people report bicycle-related issues to CCBA, they would probably be interested in setting up a "watch area" to follow issues on SeeClickFix as they appear.

Have you already spoken to the police department about driver behavior on the road?
It sounds like it might be a location that could deserve additional enforcement in the short term, and maybe some of the other solutions available like those Mark mentioned above. A traffic camera, perhaps, or a traffic radar sign, might help.
In the short term, the person you want to reach at Enfield PD is Sgt. Charles Grasso, 860-763-6400. Grasso and the Enfield PD are participants with Metro Traffic Services, which is an effort to pool resources from various police departments in the area to target specific traffic areas for enforcement. Give him a call.
