Its lowlands by the river!

This is the only area along the recently constructed NRG that has this issue. A boardwalk here (as in many similar low areas on the Neuse River Greenway) will solve the problem... and should have been included originally. It looks like a mistake by the engineers or an error during construction. This greenway is not like others that regularly flood after rains... it was engineered perfectly with the exception of this one spot. Fixing it will be wonderful for all of the many runners and bikers that use this greenway following rainstorms and dam releases (hundreds, if not thousands of people). Does the city have any recourse with the folks who were hired to design and constuct? Someone made a mistake here. Thanks for your help

The second post is irrelevant. The entire Greenway is by the river. All 20-30 miles of it. THere is not another single place on the trail that floods like this does. It is always one of the worst places for it, as you cannot get to it easily if you want to abandon your ride. You have at least two miles on either side to access a road, so often you do not know, especially those doing the loop.

Please fix this! Even a little bit of rain floods the trail making it unusable to many people.
