Description

UD police should sit on this block, because they could make a fortune. So many people ignore the signs, which are posted on both sides of Morgan Ave.

The UD Police have done this in the past and it didn't have much of an effect then. People ignore it because its pretty much pointless to have it one way for two hours a day. They should make it a full time one way street or not one at all and then enforce it accordingly.

Maybe they should just park a police car there, like they do on the 800 block of Windermere Ave.(at State Rd.). I believe the point is to stop people from speeding up the a residential block at rush hour, to avoid the traffic signals on Drexel Ave.

I forgot to mention that I have worked very near this intersection for more than 12 years, and it was at least 5 years ago that the police did anything. So to say they "have tried it in the past" is a specious argument. Sounds like it's time to try again.

To the people of Morgan ave. Living in this area my hole life, the only solution I see is to make your block permanently “One Way”. This was rejected by the Morgan ave. people and a compromise was made for the part time “One Way” solution.

Agree with UD1978 either make it full time or not at all. It is unenforceable as a two hour a day do not enter, so it won't matter if the police try to enforce it again or not. As soon as they don't put a car on the street people will be doing it again.
