Description
Poor lighting along Shuey Ave and Almond makes it unsafe for females to walk home from Bart or downtown alone. Other areas have much better lighting. I try not to drive as to not clog up bart/ downtown parking or waste gas but it is unsafe after sun down when I get home from work. :( Uneven side walks with poor lighting makes it even more unsafe.

I spoke to our Engineering Department who suggested that you be referred to the PG&E website. They would be the entity tasked with maintaining and installed light poles. You can contact them at: http://www.pge.com/myhome/customerservice/contact/
From this site --- under subject, choose "streetlights" and then add your request to the message area. You should receive an email from them confirming receipt of your email and hopefully a response to your concerns. .

Here is an image depicting the approximate addresses of each light. They are only on one side of the street. The distances are as follows:
1971 Shuey to 1905 Shuey: 344 feet
1905 Shuey to 1847 Shuey: 400 feet
1847 Shuey to 1735 Shuey: 315 feet
1735 Shuey to 1529 Shuey: 240 feet
1529 Shuey to 1513 Shuey: 105 feet
There is adequate lighting on Shuey near Bonanza street but as you travel farther away the lighting becomes extremely poor. Given how narrow the street is and the fact that it curves, it seems this low amount of lighting is not enough.

Now, don´t you think this is maybe happening because of the LACK OF STREET LIGHTS in our neighborhood? Thieves are taking advantage of this issue for sure.
The whole street has one light that it is covered by trees.
Not only we need to be scared of thieves, but also the sidewalks are very damaged, and it is really unsafe to go for a walk without seeing anything.
PLEASE....WE NEED MORE STREET LIGHTS IN SHUEY-ALMOND!!!!!
