Description
Family of at least 5 kittens, one mother in this area for at least 3 weeks. We've tried calling animal shelters to no avail. We'd take them in but would risk eviction, as we already have one cat per our lease. My fiance is going to leave some food and a small box for shelter just for tonight, as tomorrow were going to try contact some other organizations. Can anyone take them in, or does any one know any other organizations or people willing to help?

Of the four kittens I have seen recently, one is all black, one is all torti, one is brown and torti, and one is a fluffy brown type. I am unable to determine their gender at the distance I keep. I can try to ask for assistance from individuals I know in trapping them for people interested in adoption; the reason I believe I would need assistance is because they seem very young and I do not possess the knowledge in any rescue situations or how to gauge if taking them from the mother is ok at this time.
To the other responses; I have called Branford and left a vm. I also called New Haven and was told by a Tammy, that they are too full and will only pick up the kittens if they bite someone- that would lead to them to euthanize them, which I don't want. Any animal would try and defend itself if it felt threatened, so assuming a baby kitten is dangerous for doing so means that I certainly would not work with them. West Haven refused to come to this area, and I personally spoke with Cheryl from Greater New Haven Cat Project and she also stated she was at capacity.
