The bus stop shelter in front of Richard B Harrison library only has two seats... far too few for this crowded stop.

Can this 2-seat bench be replaced with a 3-seat bench (as many other shelters have)? Also, can an additional bench be placed outside of the shelter (there is plenty of space)?

Lastly, the garbage can lid has been removed, and is currently inside the shelter and being used as a seat.

I rode by that stop last week,on the bus..and there were a dozen men hanging out drinking..and none of them were actually waiting for the bus..

JWilson is correct, this stop is a hang out. However, I'm sure CAT can verify from their ridership counts that many people also board the bus at this stop, and they should have adequate seating.

I've referred this to our Public Works Department. When the staff has had a chance to respond I’ll post an update. Thanks for reporting.

Per Public Works: This site was designed to accommodate two shelters. We can add a bench outside of the shelter that will help this situation until we can get another shelter constructed at this location. Thank you.
