We have, on numerous occasions, inspected the storm drain infrastructure in this area and have found no problems or need for maintenance. The storm pipes were inspected with cameras. I apologize if you were expecting me to contact you personally, however, my crew indicated that they had in fact conveyed the information to you directly.

Mr Khahr,, The only reason I "expected" to you to call me was because you told me on the phone that you would get with one of your engineers and call me to set up a time to come out here and look into the findings of Newnan Utilities, who ran the camera through the Storm Drain pipes. Even the Newnan Utilities camera crew were a bit surprised by what they found as two such pipes were directed into the west side of my house. I was told by a former City Employee about the abandoned drain pipe that ran along the north side of West Broad St. This would explain the sink holes that appear in our front yards from time to time and I even have one now as I write. I am here most of the time (retired, disabled, and fed up) with the apathetic attitude demonstrated by Newnan City officials. As far as I know. not one single crew has come by here to simply look at the findings of Newnan Utilities, much less verify or refute it. With all due respect, you can close this issue all you want, but it will not go away - under any circumstance. Thank you.

I am writing this because I recieved an email from Seeclickfix informing me that this issue had been open for 31 days and that I should either make a comment or close the issue. Well, as far as I have been told, there has been no progress in coming up with an answer. I realize, that behind the scenes, actions may have taken place. Also, the weather and the Holiday Season may be playing a part in delaying a fix. Therefore, I am keeping this issue "open" and hoping that some action toward a solution will take place soon. I have received yet another email from Clickfix to either make a "Comment" on my on-going issue or close it. Please refer to the previous Comment from me and leave it open as no action has taken place so far as of Jan. 24, 2014. P.S. The sink hole in my front yard is growing larger. Thank You.

As we discussed with you at your property, the storm sewer infrastructure serving Broad St and College St is clear of obstruction and in good condition, confirmed through an investigation using cameras. We have concluded that the problems you are experiencing with sinkholes in your front yard are not related to the storm sewer system maintained by the City within the right-of-way. We do not, as policy, maintain storm sewer or any other facilities beyond the right-of-way as this would be located on private property.

My suggestions is that you obtain the services of a professional engineer to investigate your situation to determine the cause and any corrective action he/ she may recommend. We will assist any way we can, but right now we have not determined the problem is linked to the City- maintained infrastructure.
