Sidewalk repairs and replacements are completed only at the time when the street is resurfaced, during construction season. Our goal at the DPW Street Maintenance Division is to is to maintain the City of Detroit's roadways in order to promote safe travels within the City. The response about waiting for street repair is disappointing. DTE sub-contractor took excellent sidewalks and ruined them. The contractor should be held responsible to complete the contracted job correctly before they are paid.
