There are multiple reasons for the trails being closed off:
1. some are in the stream buffer, and are eroding the stream bank.
2. there is a steady stream of trash being left on the trails.
3. people are not cleaning up after their pets when they use the restroom.
4. bike users are creating ramps, and a byproduct of this are large pits dug into the ground.
