NO it has not because this forum does absolutely nothing to get things fixed. It is nothing more than a blog to complain about issues. the only official that it even went to is the Road Commision of Oakland County and they have provided absolutely no response.
This site is of no actual use.

Brian: These are local streets under the jurisdiction of the City. The Road Commission for Oakland County has no jurisdiction over these roads.

But you are correct. It would seem residents would be much more likely to get a response from the appropriate level of government by simply contacting that unit of government directly. No governmental agency is able to monitor all the Web sites out there at which people post comments/concerns. However, if you contact us directly, we can make sure we get all the appriate, specific information and, if needed, get back to you with an answer.

My comment was more a slam for this website. Why they would send this issue to RCOC didn't make sense anyway. The RCOC has always been very responsive.
This is really an issue for police enforcement.

As for the comment from Resident11, I never said it was RCOC's domain. That is just where this website sent it to, which is why this site is useless.
As for the "call the city!" yelling comment..... well, duh! Thanks genius.
The city and police have been contacted repeatedly every year over the last 20 years by our sub association.
They do not have a resolution.
The only resolution is to widen Adams and Tienken to handle the morning traffic so people do not become impatient and endanger children in their haste.

If you're really serious about this issue (and it seems that you are), I'd suggest you go to the next city council meeting, get on the agenda to address the council and spend a couple of minutes, on record, voicing your concern about this. It would help if you had other residents backing you as well. Almost guaranteed that something will happen.

There has been no improvement or change. Vehicles still drive through at over 40 mph making it unsafe to allow children in our sub to walk to school. This will not change until there are longer turn lanes at the Tienken/Adams intersection.

Tienken was re-built and longer turn lanes added. No change in speeding cut-through's. Still can't let my kid walk to school in the morning.

7 years now and no movement or resolution. Just getting worse.
