Since there will probably never be a sidewalk in this area, there are two other issues that could be addre3ssed to somewhat alleviate this problem. First, there are cars consistently parked on the west side of Cedar Avenue at the corner of Oak Street. Cars turning onto Cedar from Oak must pull to the left facing oncoming traffic on a blind hill....a head-on waiting to happen. Also, there is a huge problem with cars speeding on Cedar Avenue (also consistently blowing through two 4-way stops from all directions). This intensified when the town extended a solid yellow line from just on the hill to the entire street causing it to appear to be a major thoroughfare instead of a side street.

I have viewed the Cedar Ave area and did see that there are sidewalks on portions of the street; my recommendation to the Town would be to look at connecting the sidewalks. There is a lot of pedestrian traffic on that street.
We will monitor for parking violations as well as traffic offenses.
